Guru Guru

By their own self-image a rock band drawing on influences from a wide range of musical fields, Guru Guru are among the leading figures of so-called Kraut rock. Together with bands such as Can, Kraan, Karthago, Cluster and others, Guru Guru formed the core of this distinctly German special path in rock music. The largely undisputed driving force of the band, even more than 40 years after ist founding, is drummer and self-styled orchestra leader Mani Neumeier. Although no longer as active as they were in the 1970s, the band continues to perform live and release recordings.
