(Enhanced Remastered Stereo) 'LP originally released in US by Capitol Records in 1965 as ST 2442 with different running order. 'Drive My Car,' 'Nowhere Man,' 'What Goes On' and 'If I Needed Someone' were omitted (to be released in 1966 on (r=379388)), and 'I've Just Seen A Face' and 'It's Only Love' were added from the UK version of Help! They had been dropped from the US version in favor of selections from the orchestral soundtrack. The versions of 'I'm Looking Through You' and 'The Word' were early mixes from the those that appeared on the UK release.
When Rubber Soul was released on CD in 1987 it used the original UK track listing but with a stereo digital remix by George Martin and artwork derived from the original US edition.

Please do not mix with the following other German/GEMA versions with gold & white Odeon label. Their differences are listed here - All labels are featuring the old catalog# 'ZTOX 5613' beneath 'Yex 178'/'..179' & 'SMO 84 066';
All have a typo on track B3 on label - some have 'Trough', some have 'Throug' instead of the correct 'Through'.

Release 4299311 - 2nd TelDec pressing, 'Manufactured in Germany' on runout, deep ring near centerhole. Dash used on all sides as seperator - e.g. 'Lennon-McCartney'. Track B3 typo: 'Throug'.

'Variation of the Orange 'Side' Stereo label/pressing. Identical to (r6341745) except that this is a CBS Records Australia contract pressing. Identifiable by their 70mm diameter pressing ring (as opposed to an EMI pressing which has a 33mm diameter pressing ring).
In the wake of John Lennon's murder, EMI Australia could not cope with the surge in demand for Beatles' records and sought outside assistance in pressing albums. While most of the demand was met by EMI New Zealand, assistance was also sought from CBS Records (located in Sydney) and Astor Records (located in Melbourne). These two facilities pressed albums during the first six months of 1981, Pressings from these facilities are identifiable by their unique pressing rings - CBS 70mm and Astor Records 38mm with a 3mm wide indentation.'[discogs]
