'The title 'Gán' (癌 = Japanese for 'cancer') is stylized as GΠN.
This album title and the opening track title were a reference to the Shōwa period emperor Hirohito who was dying from the cancer. Due to the controversial nature of lyrical content, this album had to be released independently rather than with a major label.
