The first half of 'Past Imperfect' collects work by the original lineup of the Tindersticks, consisting of vocalist and guitarist Stuart A. Staples, guitarist Neil Fraser and multi-instrumentalist David Boulter, as well as drummer Al Macaulay, bassist Mark Colwill and multi-instrumentalist Dickon Hinchliffe. The second half features music from the current lineup with Staples, Fraser, Boulter, drummer Earl Harvin and multi-instrumentalist Dan McKinna. 'Both Sides Of The Blade' is previously unreleased.
