The music has been especially selected by Mishel Piastro, Dean of American Popular Conductors, from the Longines Symphonette's Complete 'Treasury of the World's Most Honored Musical Favorites'.

Back of Release reads:
A 'Sampler' from 'The Treasury of The World's Most Honored Musical Favorites' and 'The Treasury of The World's Most Honored Family Singing and Listening Songs.' We hope you will enjoy the Longines Symphonettes' 'virtuoso performances' of these most loved selections.

Tracks A1, A3, A5, B1, B3 and B5 are from (r5630609) Tracks B4, K6, A5, F6, A2 and D4 respectively.
Tracks A2, A4, B2 and B4 are from (r4801881) Tracks C1, F1, P1 and H1 respectively.

Notes on back cover discuss the 1962 'official results' of the accuracy of their watches.

Although the back of the release (and hub label) clearly states 'Not For Commercial Sale', the release was offered as a promotional item at participating Jewelry Stores for a nominal fee of $.50 (see images)

This release has a unique label design with an Observatory logo and Treble-Clef/Star ends to the border ribbon.
The release also uses plain gray paper sleeves for the single LP.

The release number places it as the second release by the Longines Symphonette Recording Society, however it comes between the first Box set (r7340104) and the 'Free Bonus' album (r7373624) included in the Box set packaging.
