(White Label, Special Cut) 'This 12” white label was sold in the stores in 1993. It comes in a white innersleeve only with an antistatic layer inside. The name of the producer is hand-written on the label of the side A. In 1993, the release was formally called and known as 'Vanessa In Paradise' by V.I.P.. Vanessa Paradis was uncredited in despite of the lead vocals the track of the side A is playing. The side B is an instrumental version.

The vocal side was cut with three large fast and spaced spiral bands, synchronized to three short breaks of the track. The first appears at the end of the intro, the second and the last one, at the begining and at the end of the main break.

It was launched in March 1993, a few weeks after the famous '(m=74180)' LP release. The producers have probably extracted the full acapella song from the 11th and last track of the album, on which one vocals were recorded on the right or the left chanel, at the opposite side of the arrangements.

In front of their success, producers and record companies have had to clear as quick as possible, this white label release, already played on the radios. In May 1993, (l=Columbia) decided to launch '(m91834)', with additionals german DJ's edits and a new singer. The label has also cleared the copyrights with this one, including the names of the original songwriters and publishing companies, as Publishing company associated with (a=Lenny Kravitz) and affiliated to ASCAP (IPI #128915852).rnrnOn (r10335841), associated to Lenny Kravitz productions and to the Vanessa Paradis album.

Finally, they also decided to do not credit V.I.P., whereas the (a1051) version is using exactly the same arrangements, sounds and male backing vocals, which were probably recorded by V.I.P. themselves, at the origin.

Please, do not confuse this release with :

'(m609222)' (original single release)
'(r5300871)' (the same stickered one)
'(r220947)' (Paris Red's pre-release, pressed by CBS / Sony)
'(m91834)' (1993 second remixes release)
'(r1812861)' (2001 third german remixes release)
'(r3642013)' (2002 fourth UK remixes release)
(no idea why the two last ones are using ‘VIP’ as artists)

The uncredited pressing company is derived from their typical pressing rings.'[discogs]
