Placebo

Placebo is a British alternative rock band that formed in London in 1994. With a unique blend of punk, goth, and electronic music, Placebo has created a sound that is all their own.The band's name, Placebo, is derived from the Latin word meaning "I shall please."The band's biggest hit, "Nancy Boy," was inspired by a line from the play "The Hypochondriac. Placebo has been known to perform covers of songs by artists as diverse as Kate Bush, Depeche Mode, and Britney Spears. Brian Molko and drummer Steve Hewitt are both left-handed, while bassist Stefan Olsdal is ambidextrous.
