Manfred Mann

Mannfred Mann is a South African-born British musician and bandleader who is best known for his work as the founder and frontman of the band Manfred Mann. Born on October 21, 1940, in Johannesburg, South Africa, Mann moved to the United Kingdom in the early 1960s to pursue a career in music.

Manfred Mann formed his eponymous band in 1962, which went on to become one of the most successful British Invasion bands of the 1960s. The band's hits include "Do Wah Diddy Diddy," "Pretty Flamingo," "Sha La La," and "Mighty Quinn." The band also underwent several lineup changes over the years, with Mann being the only constant member.
