The Animals

The Animals, originating from England's R&B scene in the early '60s, were influential in the British Invasion, second only to the Rolling Stones. Led by Eric Burdon, their breakout hit "House of the Rising Sun" propelled them to stardom. Internal conflicts and lineup changes followed, leading to shifts in sound and style. Burdon later reformed the band as Eric Burdon and the New Animals, embracing psychedelia. Despite reunions, including the well-received album "Before We Were So Rudely Interrupted" in 1976, the band's legacy endures as pioneers of the British rock scene.
