John Lee Hooker

John Lee Hooker was a highly influential American blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He was born on August 22, 1917, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and grew up in a musical family. Hooker's unique style of blues was characterized by his distinctive deep, gravely voice and a rhythmic guitar style that incorporated elements of boogie-woogie and Delta blues.

Hooker's career spanned over several decades, during which he recorded numerous albums and became known as one of the most important figures in the blues genre. Some of his most famous songs include "Boom Boom," "Boogie Chillen," "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer," and "I'm in the Mood." His music influenced many other musicians, including The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, and Jimi Hendrix.

In recognition of his contribution to the blues, Hooker was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991. He continued to perform and record music up until his death on June 21, 2001, at the age of 83.
