Danzig

Danzig, formed in 1987, is an American heavy metal band led by singer and songwriter Glenn Danzig. Emerging from the punk scene with The Misfits, Danzig achieved success with a bluesy, gothic, and dark metal sound. Their eponymous debut album in 1988 featured the hit "Mother." The band's music often explores themes of the occult, horror, and mythology. Glenn Danzig's distinctive baritone vocals and charismatic stage presence have defined their identity. Despite lineup changes, Danzig continues to be a prominent force in the metal genre, with albums like "Lucifuge" (1990) and "Danzig III: How the Gods Kill" (1992).
