Anthrax

Anthrax is an American thrash metal band formed in 1981 in New York City. The band's founding members include Scott Ian (rhythm guitar), Dan Lilker (bass), Charlie Benante (drums), and Neil Turbin (vocals). Anthrax is known for its aggressive sound, often blending elements of thrash metal with punk and classic metal influences.

Their debut album, "Fistful of Metal," was released in 1984, showcasing their raw and energetic style. Soon after, Joey Belladonna replaced Neil Turbin as the vocalist, solidifying the classic Anthrax lineup. The band gained widespread recognition with their third album, "Among the Living" (1987), featuring iconic tracks like "Caught in a Mosh" and "I Am the Law."

Anthrax was part of the "Big Four" of thrash metal, alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth, contributing to the genre's global success in the 1980s. They continued to evolve their sound over the years, exploring different musical territories while maintaining their heavy and dynamic approach.
