BILL EVANS is an undisputed archive favourite, with his records played on the regular in the recordsale archive (especially in the morning shift.. for some of that soothing early calm piano ambience). Bill Evans was one of the most influential and tragic figures of the post-bop jazz piano era, known for his highly nuanced touch, and his clarity of feeling. He recorded over fifty albums as leader and received five Grammy's. His legacy spawned a school of "Bill Evans style" or "Evans inspired" pianists, including the likes of Michel Petrucciani, Andy Laverne, Ludovico Einaudi, Keith Jarrett and Yann Tiersen, to name but a few. The inimitable, comforting and delicate Jazz piano sound of Bill Evans and his many collaborations and Piano explorations can be discovered in this collection.

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) is a US record label specializing in the manufacture of audiophile records. The company was founded in 1977 by Brad Miller in California and was quickly able to make a name for itself for the production of high-quality records. MFSL is especially known for its so-called "Original Master Recordings", which use the original tapes of the artists to produce records with a high-resolution sound quality. The records are cut using special techniques such as half-speed to achieve higher resolution and clarity. Most of MFSL's releases are limited editions and are considered popular collectibles by audiophile aficionados. CDs are also considered as a coveted format. Over the years, MFSL has collaborated with a wide variety of artists, including Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Miles Davis, Bob Dylan and many others.
