The Stooges were the beautiful mess that rock did not know it needed. Fronted by the wild and shirtless Iggy Pop, they turned chaos into art and volume into religion. Legend has it that during an early gig, Iggy rolled around in peanut butter someone threw on stage because why not? From there, things only got louder, stranger, and far more influential. The Stooges did not just play rock, they detonated it.
