The Cats

The Cats were a Dutch pop band formed in Volendam in 1964. Comprising members Cees Veerman, Piet Veerman, Arnold Mühren, Jaap Schilder, and Theo Klouwer, they gained fame for their melodic pop and folk-influenced songs. With hits like "One Way Wind" and "Times Were When," The Cats became one of the Netherlands' most successful bands in the 1960s and 1970s. Their harmonious vocal style and catchy tunes garnered international acclaim. Despite disbanding in 1980, The Cats left an enduring legacy in Dutch music, remaining celebrated for their contributions to the Nederbeat and Palingsound genres.
