Steely Dan

Steely Dan is an American rock band that was formed in 1972. The band was founded by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, who met while attending college in New York City. The band's name is a reference to a steam-powered dildo mentioned in William S. Burroughs' novel "Naked Lunch."

Steely Dan's music is known for its jazz-influenced harmonies and complex arrangements, as well as its lyrical and musical sophistication. The band's early hits include "Do It Again," "Reelin' in the Years," and "Rikki Don't Lose That Number." They released a total of nine studio albums between 1972 and 2003, with their final album, "Everything Must Go," released in 2003.
