Solomon Burke

Solomon Burke was an American soul and R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer who was active from the 1950s to 2010. He was born on March 21, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Burke was known for his powerful and soulful voice, and his contributions to the development of soul music. He recorded for several labels including Atlantic Records, where he had hits such as "Cry to Me" and "If You Need Me." Burke was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
