Scorpions

The Scorpions are a German rock band formed in Hanover in 1965. The band has undergone several lineup changes over the years, but their most famous and successful lineup consisted of Klaus Meine on vocals, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs on guitars, Francis Buchholz on bass, and Herman Rarebell on drums.

The Scorpions are known for their distinctive sound, which combines heavy metal with melodic hard rock and incorporates elements of blues and classical music. They have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have released classic rock hits such as "Rock You Like a Hurricane", "Wind of Change", and "Still Loving You".

Fun fact: The Scorpions are one of the few Western bands to have performed in the Soviet Union during the Cold War. In 1988, they played a series of concerts in Leningrad, which were attended by over 250,000 people. During their visit, they also became the first Western rock band to perform in Kazakhstan. The experience inspired their hit ballad "Wind of Change", which became an anthem for the fall of the Iron Curtain and the reunification of Germany.
