Roger Williams

Roger Williams was an American popular music pianist and recording artist active from the 1950s to the 2000s. Born Louis Jacob Weertz in 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska, he adopted the stage name Roger Williams and became known for his virtuosic piano playing and his ability to bring classical music to a popular audience. Williams had several hit songs, including "Autumn Leaves," "Born Free," and "The Impossible Dream," and was one of the best-selling solo pianists of the 20th century
