All of the titles on this CD were recorded on Ampex tape machines using 3-track half-inch and three Telefunken 201 microphones. The Frescobaldi pieces were recorded at Watford Town Hall, outside London, on July 24, 26, and 27, 1962; all other works were recorded at Fine Recording in New York, Ballroom Studio A. The Picchi titles were recorded on April 9, 11, and 12, 1962, and, with the Frescobaldi, released as SR90259. Pieces by Telemann, C.P.E. Bach, and Sonata in F by Scarlatti were recorded in April 1964. Scarlatti's Sonata in A Minor was recorded on April 7, 1963, and the Sonata in E Major on May 16, 1962. The Fischer Passacaglia was recorded on May 22, 1963. All were released on SR90411, except for the Sonata in E Major, which was included on SR90304.

Only ORIGINAL MASTERS used for transfer to Compact Disc.
