Patti LaBelle

Patti LaBelle is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Born Patricia Louise Holt on May 24, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she rose to fame as the lead singer of the girl group Labelle in the 1970s. With their eclectic blend of rock, soul, and funk, the group became known for their powerful live performances and chart-topping hits such as "Lady Marmalade".

After the breakup of Labelle, LaBelle launched her solo career and released her self-titled debut album in 1977. Over the course of her career, she has released numerous hit songs, including "If Only You Knew", "New Attitude", and "On My Own", which she recorded with Michael McDonald. She has also been involved in a number of acting projects and has appeared on Broadway, television, and film.
