Mink DeVille

Mink Deville was an American rock and roll band formed in the 1970s by singer and guitarist Willy DeVille. The band was known for its eclectic blend of musical styles, including rock, R&B, blues, and Latin music, and for its soulful and emotional lyrics. Deville's music was heavily influenced by artists such as Little Richard, Otis Redding, and Bo Diddley, and he was often compared to artists such as Van Morrison and Tom Waits. The band's most famous songs include "Spanish Stroll," "Mixed Up, Shook Up Girl," and "Demasiado Corazón." Mink Deville released several albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s and had a dedicated following of fans, but the band's commercial success was limited. Willy DeVille died in 2009, but his music continues to be popular and is considered some of the best of the roots rock genre.
