'Hot Casa Records presents this insanely great and rare disco album by the famous Ghanaian multi-instrumentalist, Kiki Gyan. Reissued for the first time in its original LP version. TIP!!
Recorded at Decca Sound studio in Lagos in 1980, this two long tracks album is an instant dancefloor classic. The music here is an incredible hybrid of Afro boogie, Nigerian percussions and catchy lyrics. It waq fully produced by Kiki Gyan, the “African keyboard legend”.
Kiki Gyan had his first education at the Chapel Hill Preparatory School in Takoradi. He had then the chance to join interesting bands such as The Avengers, Blue Monks, Boom Talents, or Pargadija Band. He was also a key member of Osibisa band during their London session, which stunned the world with a dazzling performance. He produced few records by himself with his Peregrino Production imprint. He passed away on Sunday, June 6th 2004.
The sound quality recording is amazing and can easily be compared with the American or European Disco productions from major labels of this time. This is an official license with the prestigious Afrodisia Records label, remastered and pressed in limited numbered copies, including an extra 7inch with a special edit by the Boogie Gentlemen.
