Johnny Rivers

Johnny Rivers is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born on November 7, 1942, in New York City. He began his career in the early 1960s as a folk singer in Greenwich Village, and later moved to Los Angeles, where he signed with Imperial Records.

Rivers' music is a blend of rock and roll, folk, blues, and country, and he is known for his soulful voice and impressive guitar skills. He had a string of hits in the 1960s, including "Memphis" (1964), "Mountain of Love" (1964), and "Secret Agent Man" (1966).
