'These recordings are concert performances and were broadcast over the radio September 29 and October 1, 1952. There are opening and closing commentaries by the radio announcer, and, since they took place in London, the national anthem was played prior to each performance. In addition, Sir Adrian Boult delivered a speech in honor of Maestro Toscanini. It is heard before the performance of the 4th symphony.
Proceeds from the sale of these records go to the Arturo Toscanini society.'[discogs]
