Jimmy Smith

Jimmy Smith was an American jazz organist and pianist born on December 8, 1925, in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He is considered one of the pioneers of the Hammond B-3 organ in jazz music.

Smith began his music career in the 1950s, and he quickly gained attention for his innovative playing style and use of the Hammond B-3 organ. He released numerous albums throughout his career, including "The Sermon," "Back at the Chicken Shack," and "Root Down." Smith's music often combined elements of blues, gospel, and jazz, and he was known for his fast and fluid playing style.
