Golden Earring

Golden Earring is a Dutch rock band that was formed in The Hague in 1961. The band's original lineup consisted of George Kooymans (guitar, vocals), Rinus Gerritsen (bass guitar, keyboards), Barry Hay (vocals, guitar, flute), and Cesar Zuiderwijk (drums).

The band's early music was heavily influenced by the British Invasion, and they had a string of hits in the 1960s, including "Please Go" (1965) and "Dong-Dong-Di-Ki-Di-Gi-Dong" (1968). They continued to release albums throughout the 1970s, and their music evolved to incorporate elements of hard rock, progressive rock, and heavy metal.
