Das Münsteraner Post-Punk Trio Ghost of Tom Joad existiert seit Februar 2006. Bereits im Gründungsjahr spielen sie als Support für Maximo Park und sind auf Tour mit Rival Schools, Muff Potter, Samiam. 2008 erscheint das Debüt Album 'No sleep until Ostkreuz'. Es folgen Konzerte im Vorprogramm von Mando Diao und den Kilians u.a. Das zweite Album 'Matterhorn' erscheint 2009 und wird von der Indieszene gefeiert. Die Band ist auf Tour mit Tomte, Madsen u.a. und spielt im Sommer aufzahlreichen Festivals. Am 25.02.2011 erscheint das dritte Album von Ghost of Tom Joad BLACK MUSIK via Richard Mohlmann / Universal. [universal]
