Foo Fighters

The Foo Fighters are a rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1994. The band was started by Dave Grohl, who was the drummer for the legendary rock band Nirvana. The Foo Fighters have since become one of the most successful and well-respected rock bands of all time. The band's name was inspired by a World War II term for UFO sightings by Allied aircraft pilots. Dave Grohl wrote and recorded the entire first Foo Fighters album by himself, playing all the instruments and singing all the vocals. The Foo Fighters have been known to perform cover songs by artists such as Prince, Led Zeppelin, and Alice Cooper. The band's 1997 album "The Colour and the Shape" features a song called "Everlong" that was inspired by a childhood memory of Dave Grohl's.
