Eddy Arnold

Eddy Arnold, born Richard Edward Arnold, was an American country music singer known as the "Tennessee Plowboy." Born on May 15, 1918, in Henderson, Tennessee, Arnold rose to prominence in the 1940s and 1950s with his smooth voice and crossover appeal. He charted more than 140 songs on the Billboard country music charts, including hits like "Cattle Call," "Anytime," and "Make the World Go Away." Arnold's blend of country, pop, and folk music contributed to his success, earning him the nickname "The Nashville Sound." He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1966.
