(LP, ) 'Sleeve also has the code AA361 on the front.
Artists include: Johnny Hodges, Ben Webster, Rex Stewart, Cootie Williams, Ray Nance, Barney Bigard.

A1 to A8: MBS radio broadcast over WOR from the Hurricane Club, New York, June 18, 1943.
B1 to B6: MBS radio broadcast over WOR from the Hurricane Club, New York, April 4, 1943
B7, B8: NBC radio broadcast from the Hotel Sherman, Panther Room, Chicago, IL, September 11, 1940.
B9: Remote MBS radio broadcast from the Trianon Ballroom, Southgate, Los Angeles, California, June 12, 1941 (and not July 5th, 1941 as liner notes state).

Although Taft Jordan and Ivie Anderson are given vocal credits on this album, neither of them sings on this record.

Although Nat Jones is credited for the April 1943 recordings, most discographies identify this as Sax Mallard instead. Nat Jones joined the orchestra in May 1943.

Although Johnny Hodges is credited as playing soprano sax during the 1943 sessions (tracks A1 to B6), his last recorded soprano sax performance was in November 1940. Therefore, if he plays soprano sax here at all, it would be only on tracks B7-B9.'[discogs]
