'as printed on the back of the back cover:

There were no samples used in this recording. All sounds are from the original instruments as designed by their manufacturers; i.e, Roland 808 sounds were played on a Roland 808 and they were not sampled from a Roland 808.

The recording equipment used during this production is essentially inexpensive recording gear. The console, the tape machines, synthesizers and otherwise which are not the so called 'state of the art'
There was no use of digital technology. All sounds are ANALOG.
Any noise or distortion heard in the recording is intentional. Great care was taken by the producers to 'Pin The VU's' at all times thus causing as much 'dirt' as possible. Everything was recorded at 15ips with NO NOISE REDUCTION. SMPTE time code was avoided. Old fashion methods of syncing were employed.

'Sampling is the ultimate disrespect of private property, musical capability and oppertunity (spelling error on album) for advancement... Poor James Brown sits in jail while millions make millions sampling his recordings - sometimes in their entirety. Though the temptation to sample is great... make your own music... If you are really talented it won't make a difference anyway...'
