Brainticket

Brainticket, a Swiss krautrock band formed in 1968, was a pioneer in experimental and psychedelic music. Founded by Belgian musician Joel Vandroogenbroeck, the group produced avant-garde compositions that defied traditional genre boundaries. Their debut album, "Cottonwoodhill" (1971), is renowned for its innovative use of synthesizers and unconventional structures. Brainticket's sound evolved over subsequent releases, incorporating world music influences and cosmic themes. Despite lineup changes and periods of inactivity, Vandroogenbroeck's continued exploration of eclectic sonic landscapes has earned Brainticket a cult following and recognition as a seminal contributor to the experimental music movement of the 1970s.
