Asia is a legendary progressive rock band that formed in 1981, capturing the hearts of fans around the world with hits like "Heat of the Moment" and "Only Time Will Tell". The band's name was inspired by the exotic and mysterious continent of Asia, considered such in the early 80s. Keyboardist Geoff Downes is a huge fan of "The Simpsons". Drummer Carl Palmer is so fast that he can play a drum solo with his eyes closed and still sound amazing. Guitarist Steve Howe is a master of many instruments, including the bouzouki, banjo, and mandolin. Bassist John Wetton is a trained opera singer and can belt out high notes like nobody's business. With their unique blend of progressive rock and pop, Asia has earned a dedicated following and continues to rock on.
