Al Martino

Al Martino was an American singer and actor who was best known for his hit song "Spanish Eyes," which became a international success in the 1960s. Martino was born Alfred Cini in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and began his career as a professional singer in the 1940s. He gained widespread fame in 1952 with the release of his hit song "Here in My Heart," which became the first number one single in the UK singles chart.

Martino continued to enjoy success in the music industry throughout the 1950s and 1960s, releasing a series of popular albums and singles. In addition to his music career, Martino also appeared in a number of films and television shows, including the role of Johnny Fontane in The Godfather and its sequels. He continued to perform and record music until his death in 2009.
